李智现为bw必威西汉姆联官网助理研究员，入选毓秀青年引进学者。他于纽约大学获得社会学博士学位。其研究领域包括社会分层、金融社会学、人工智能社会学与计算社会科学，目前主要关注金融化和数智化时代的财富分层。其研究成果发表于Social Indicators Research、Scientific Reports、International Journal for Equity in Health和Social Psychiatry and Psychiatric Epidemiology等期刊，另有论文在Demography和Journal of Health and Social Behavior等期刊处于修改后再投（R&R）阶段。他曾获美国社会学会不平等、贫困与流动分会颁发的2025年Robert D. Mare研究生论文奖。
